School Counsellor

We want a reliable School Counsellor to aid studentsê plan for academic achievement, ensure career readiness and develop personal or social competencies through a wide, preventive and developmental counselling program. The aim is to ensure students will end up productive and well-adjusted adults.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Move the development and implement a competitive school counselling program that specializes in and promotes studentsê success
  • Value and respond for the diversity and individual differences of scholars
  • Ensure equitable having access to opportunities and rigorous curriculum for all those studentsê
  • Provide direct support services through structured conventions
  • Evaluate elements of strength (KSAOs) and advocate studentsê
  • Provide group or individual responsive services
  • Collaborate and consult with parents, teachers, community organisations as well as other stakeholders
  • Perform assessments, interpret tests and look at student records
  • Gather and analyse data to measure results
  • Complete regular reports on progress

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in school counselling
  • Integrity and professionalism
  • Advocacy skills
  • Capacity to respond effectively to the needs of a wide student pool
  • Working understanding of various counselling models, practices and resources
  • Engaging interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
  • Capacity to collect and analyse data
  • Computer literacy
  • Sound judgement and emotional intelligence
  • MA degree in School Counselling
