Purchasing Agent

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent to order goods and services necessary for your business. You have the means and possibility to raise our profits by designing by far the most high-quality and cost-effective purchases.

The best candidate is going to have an enthusiastic eye for detail and an ad mind-set. You ought to know how to gauge market conditions and other suppliers. Communication skills will help you negotiate effectively and maintain profitable relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop profitable purchasing strategies
  • Assess supplier profiles and analyse offers
  • Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to keep up quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to relation to contracts
  • Review supplies to be certain quality
  • Monitor stock levels
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures etc.)
  • Keep updated records
  • Attend events, fairs and exhibitions to keep up-to-date with the market’s trends

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a purchasing agent or relevant role
  • Demonstrable experience with negotiating prices and fine print
  • Understanding of general market trends, data analysis and acquiring best practices
  • Working information about MS Office and acquiring software (e.g. Spend Map)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A powerful analytical mind-set
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be described as a plus
