Data Entry Clerk

We are seeking a Data Entry Clerk to type information into our database from paper documents. The best candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. You may report to a data manager or any other senior data team member. Understanding of knowledge confidentiality principles is compulsory.

The company will rely you to have accurate and updated data which are simply reachable through searching for database.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners
  • Type data provided from customers
  • Create spreadsheets with more and more figures without mistakes
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Update existing data
  • Retrieve data with the database or electronic files as requested
  • Perform regular backups to be certain data preservation
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to be certain it is not lost

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience as data entry clerk
  • Fast typing skills; Familiarity with touch typing method is strongly preferred
  • Excellent expertise in word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • Working expertise in office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic knowledge of databases
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer care skills
  • Great focus on detail
  • School degree or equivalent
